Breaking Face

Breaking Face

You keep twisting the truth

that throws you eschew.

raise your fist

to break my face.

Choke my neck,

take me away from this place.

Let my insides crumble

to a placid ground,

too many chances

I gave you to get it straight,

and come around.

I believed without you

I was nothing,

but now something bigger

than you has taken over.

Something empowering,

and completely trusting.

If you give me the chance

I'll let you rot in hell.

My head is pounding

like its going to implode.

I can't keep taking these chances

I'm changing my circumstances

before the next time you offload.

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
