The Nothingness

The Nothingness

Rippling rivers
assist asterisks
decoratively descend
on oceans
slithering skin.
Snow strikes
plaid pajamas
like lollipops
tethered together,
waiting with
anticipation, after
beds backup
towards tangible,
ever eternal
rambucksious rapture.
Septic sounds
litter lolls
over odd
timely transformations.
Divine divisions
control chaos
in intrepid
valorous visions
born beautifully.
Jittery Jazz
plays piano
soothing sounds
invoking information.
Souls spirited
graciously, glee
drums differently.
Former frequencies
above abyss,
into intolerable
nothingness noise.
Fallen flaccid
into industrial
strength sleeves
let live
compassion, created
from fasteners,
especially emaciated.

Boldly Beautiful! this poem is great. the structure isn't something i've seen that much before. maybe shel silverstein back in the day, but wow, this is great. I was trying to figure out what it all meant, but nonetheless, i enjoyed the wordplay and the alliteration.

Thanks so much. You nailed it.. It's just a play on words using the same letter in a two word structure.

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.

John F. Kennedy (1917-1963) Thirty-fifth President of the USA
