She Remembers...
The sound of her heart beating
like a hammer against cloth.
Trapped somewhere in the blue
between heaven and earth.
The solitary man begins to feel
a familiar itch,
as he would stalk with intent
in the art of concealment.
A hunter's murder changes everything.
A father's intuitions understand no bounds.
When light shimmered a tear;
like icicles hanging softly from tree branches,
gazebo's crumble under the pressure
of fallen snow.
Visions of yesterday remind them not to
loose faith in what one believes.
Nothing in the void of black birds
can be free this way.
In the end, everybody needs to understand.
Fourteen and ripped from the headlines.
Kicked with bones shattered
like glass on a concrete floor,
tucked away in a safe, to the here afters,
floating on rivers edge
she was in the air around them.
A room built under the earth,
there was something about the way
the ground could swallow things whole.
Trapped in a perfect world
the cold winter months began to set in.
Young lovers would sneak into
the nightshade of abyss.
Imaginary circumference of
other worldly possessions
consumed a town in need of something;
for she was here for a moment
and then she was gone.
