Addiction Means Sacrifice
There's things I know I should have mentioned soonerBut I didn't know how
I'm sorry I lost you
I never thought that this could come between us
But it was a choice between a life
Of ever relapse, or a chance
For freedom.
What’s the sense in carrying it around
When we both know it’s only
Going to end up bad
For everyone involved.
But I've been paying for it since I drove
You away;
From the eleven years of life as we
Knew it.
You where my rock;
My solid ground
That my fragile body
Could barely stand on.
I counted on you
And you counted on
The meth that drove you away
From us.
And everything as you knew it.
What was said is done,
I have lived;
I have learned
And now I know there is more
To this place then where we never
Expected to end up.
