Juniper
Winter flurries
leave me inside myself,
to dwell and thrive
on the realities
of an odd situation,
that has been forced
upon my bitter cold face.
My child's eyes remain dry,
for today she has watched
the silent timid sounds,
of fathers lips murmuring
the invisible words
I Love You.
In placid nights of frigid
snow covered tiles,
a novice invitation
to adolescence has approached.
Familiar sights seem distant
As Winter Gods
twist my soul
before a borealis sky.
My child's voice
remains sincere,
for tomorrow she hears
the essence
of Junipers whisper.
leave me inside myself,
to dwell and thrive
on the realities
of an odd situation,
that has been forced
upon my bitter cold face.
My child's eyes remain dry,
for today she has watched
the silent timid sounds,
of fathers lips murmuring
the invisible words
I Love You.
In placid nights of frigid
snow covered tiles,
a novice invitation
to adolescence has approached.
Familiar sights seem distant
As Winter Gods
twist my soul
before a borealis sky.
My child's voice
remains sincere,
for tomorrow she hears
the essence
of Junipers whisper.
