Poetry helps heal the mind, body and soul. When it feels as though the world might crash down around me, I reach for a pen and paper and begin to write. As each word flows from my heart, through the pen and onto the paper, the worries of the world begin to melt away. I am left with the feeling of the warmth of the sun shining on my face and the knowledge that I can go on.

A wise soul once said to me, "stop and take a look around. Is life really all that bad or is it just what you have found?" These are words I try to live by. It matters not how many clouds are in the sky, the sun is always shining above them. No matter how cold the winter might get, the flowers will always bloom again in spring.
