Why I Kissed You
I would watch her laughAnd how she would smile
Unashamed and fearless
So I kissed her
In hopes that I may too
Be as strong as her
In hopes that as our lives intertwined
So to would our strength
Our scarred skin
And heavy souls
Had no bearing
No affect
