Two Souls Becoming One

Two Souls Becoming One

As I look deep into your blue eyes
I see your struggles and the reasons you cry
Never blinking, afraid to lose sight
For the shadows upon your face shed a different light

Your brown hair blows majestically upon the summers breeze
Your hand in marriage I beg the Lord please
Holding your hair back when your feeling ill
Loving unconditionally is my lifes will

Skin as soft as our babies skin
Something this good must be a sin
Wrapping you around my burly arms
Taking upon myself lifes darkest scars

Upon your lips drips the dew of life
I would be honored if you would be my wife
Forever tasting the sweet nectar of your gentle kiss
Eternally filling me with unimagined bliss

The love our souls make will always stand the test of time
Never leaving you behind
So take my hand and walk through life with me
We'll leave all lifes troubles be

Forever leaning unto on another
What would you say to giving our son a brother
To cherish and build a family on undying love
Thanking God and the heavens above

For my angel who is always guarding my back
To pick me up when life gets off track
Growing old with you is my lifes ultimate goal
So take my hand and lets begin our stroll!

this is so beautiful. I feel your love, your hope, your dreams being poured onto paper.

Reading your bio I have a clearer picture of the struggles of your young life. This poem resonates with your inner idealism. Even your darker shadings contain the language of hope. I pray for you what measure of health grace may grant you. There's a better world coming....

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
