    Poem Commentary

    I wrote this one when I was in the hospital. I was reflecting on everything I have done and haven't done to and for my family and everyone around me.

    Now & Then

     Now and then I always wonder what I would turn out to be
    If you and the family never believed in me
    Times have been tough we all know that road all to well
    if only life were certain and planned I'd say "that would be swell"

    Yet, life takes its turns for the worst and sometimes for the best
    I can't tell you what life holds, God can tell you the rest
    I haven't been the best son, family member, or person for a great time
    My life constantly in a bind

    For some reason I've changed into something unpredictable
    All the bad thing's I've done are unforgettable
    With your love and courage I somehow strive to live another day
    yeah this is mushy but, it surely doesn't make me gay

    I just don't know where I'd be without all of you behind me
    I know but I'll just let that be
    Hopefully that let you inside my emotions just enough to show I truly care
    Gotta get going back to my chair

    So I'll see you again if not soon
    Gotta go they're playing my tune!
    I'm really tired so I'm off to sleep
    Where all the cars go Beep, Beep, Beep!
