My Own Personal Prison
They say prison is a place you go if you break the lawIf only through these eyes the true definition you saw
An internal affair between what is fare when it comes to living
For this walk are you able and willing
To stop what your doing and look through my battered soul
And look what this prison has done to me and its tole
I walk around with tubes pertruding from my skin
This is my punishment for living full of sin
These tubes are my own personal prison ever restricting me
If I pulled them out bloodied your clothes will be
Forever bound to this plastic that keeps me breathing
For the true me your never seeing
Sure I look different from the rest of you all
For, like you stummble and fall
Weakness and triumph are my daily meals
I pray to God you never know how this feels
To not work when your able
Lying to create another fable
Not holding the ones you truly care
And yet this life is fare
I breath air and live with a smile
Sticking around on earth for a while
To slowly evolve from something I have become
And forever feeling so numb
My parole to get out of this prison will never come
1 + 1 you figure out the sum
Some lifes are equal and some so unfare
So please people don't stop and stare
At the tubes that dangle freely on my skin
For this is the price I pay for sin
Forever cornered in my own personal prison
Yet God has chose me to be risen!
