Grass Blades
Grass blades grow quicker in the summer.
She doesn’t know how to drive that stick shift.
They think I’m deaf because I refuse to listen.
Poetry doesn’t always rhyme.
I’m not a delinquent,
high school drop-out
or school-skipper.
My hair flies perfectly and they stare.
Drama doesn’t follow me.
It’s a monkey on my back.
I don’t sweat. I’m young but who says I can’t be in love?
Yes, ma’m, that means I’m mature for my age.
I decorate your antique store with my youth and color?
Why thanks!
Best compliment ever.
