Don't Listen To Me
I don't mean to listen in.
Keeping secrets are my sin.
Breaking promises-my fall.
But no one's ever kept them all.
Who would be call me this late at night?
Oh, I wonder.
I ignore it, tap on the window, fright.
Oh, I wonder.
Send my love to strangers, dear.
Hobos on the train, their ride stops here.
Laughing gas makes heart attacks.
Could the cell phone be called back?
Sudden urge to call you.
Instead I dance a ball, to...
Forget those bittersweet memories.
Forget what we both learned in history.
Forget the melody that I've become.
Still, you're number one...
In my book.
I feel like dancing with you.
But if I did, would you forgive me, if I stepped on your toes?
You're so lovely.
