Wonders
Can you hear the siren's call?Their sweet melodic tones?
Their ample sustenance?
The soft crunch of falling dreams beneath my feet
wake me from my trance.
I see nothing but death's frozen hand.
I traverse the barren tundra
and find myself at the water's edge.
The pelting lives of the forsaken
corrode my fortress.
Finally released,
I stare over the surface.
I notice those who fall
and pass through the forbidden barrier.
They dissapear
and are freed.
I feel all
and sense the reality.
I wonder if i could join them
and cross over.
