Sleep
Light fadesand my eyes become heavy.
Remaining conscious requires all my strength.
I'm slowly drifting from this reality.
The hallucinations surround me
and the truth is destroyed.
The draining hours seem like minutes.
The ticking clock,
a final timer.
Resistance is futile
and release is immanent.
Darkness encroaches
and my senses fail.
My body goes limp
and I am gone.
