Simplicity
The shimmering seas
beneath the glass sky
induce a revelation.
The translucent stars
bleed with faint light.
Dark frigid waters
press heavily upon my skin.
Frost forms
on my languid body.
Black clouds gather
and all light is destroyed.
In my head
thoughts race;
augmenting their speed
as each new second dies.
Stagnant air
fills my lungs;
toxins run rampant throughout my body.
At the brink of death's hand,
my freedom is procured.
Archaic complexity
bombards the ripples.
Lifeless limbs
gently caress the water.
Autonomic spasms
release the rage.
Aged eyes bleed;
black tears of blood
fill this shallow pool.
I rise,
from the forsaken ashes.
I am born anew.
Frozen damned tears
snow down from dying hearts.
Morbid souls
become trapped in this wasteland.
I traverse the terrain,
as if it were solid rock,
and I have nothing but ease.
Liquid air
erodes steadfast dreams.
Moonlight shines
through my transparent soul
and my iridescent stare
pierces through my bleeding existence.
