    I struggled to find something to write about with this poem I felt like writing and looked everywhere for inspiration. i spent about an hour searching the internet and finally i started writing and this one just came out of thin air. Tell me what you think I am iffy on this one

    Unrequited Love

    I have this pain so deep inside

    My heart feels ripped in two

    From this pain I can not hide

    Because I am so blue


    I hope you feel the same

    Or at least the same times three

    To you this was all a game

    Your the one who holds the key


    Once you made me love you

    And for that I wont forget

    The day you said you loved me too

    And called me your little pet


    Lies are what you made me believe

    And to this day it's true

    I found out on Christmas Eve

    That our love was through


    I will miss you for all the yesterdays

    And even for tomorrow

    I hope this doesnt sound cliche

    But I feel such sorrow

    I love it! I am so there at this point in my life. Why do we love those that bring us joy sometimes but misery most of the time?

    I think you're right about this one Alexia. It doesn't have the gut-punch impact of your poem about your grandmother. It gives the feeling of something you read rather than something that's true for you from your own life's experience. Gd rhyming & structure though.
