The Dance
my soul it longs to dance
but my body must refuse
so my mind i have to enhance
my words carefully i should choose
These words i put together
Just hoping they make sense
They will withstand any weather
And anyone's pretense.
They dance across the page
Rhythmically in measure
Loosened from their cage
My very own treasure
This is the Terpsichore of my heart
Something no one can take
Everybody plays their own little part
We all get to partake.
