The Drunkeness of Pride And Riches
Riches are the passport to a life of luxury and comfort,That you can have in the most splendid resorts,
But yet it's not happiness guaranteed,
Never supplying true satisfaction to emotional needs.
You're full of pride when there's riches and so much to spend,
Usually distracted and caught up in vanity and delaying one's ugly ways to mend
Yet happiness is not easily attained as you bask in the glory of wealth,
Yet it does not ensure the best of health.
You live in the glory, of a fortunate life,
Among the madness, and in a world full of strife
Continue to strive for good virtues though you're rich,
this will help you continually to fish.
Don't be unceasingly stupid with your wealth,
Or you may regret your extravagance as the riches melt,
Think about tomorrow and plan wisely and you find,
That with great wisdom and counsel you'll get peace of mind.
