The Belle of the Ball
A swirl of glittering gown
As the enchanting music begins.
A twinkling smile, sparkling eyes
Cover to the world her many sins.
A beautiful ball, of which she is queen,
Lit by the glow of candlelight.
She watches the couples as the music plays on,
Twirling and dancing through the night.
A handsome young man smiles at her,
He takes her by the hand.
He guides her through the candlelight
To the heart of this magical land.
She laughs as the queen, the belle of the ball,
In the glint of the sparkling wine.
She knows that her ball, this wonderful dance,
Will last till the end of time.
