Sailing
Sailing through an ocean of cloud,
The patchwork world below.
Drifting on through time and tide,
And life seems very slow.
A peaceful quiet fills me,
As we pass through the hushed blue world.
I see below me all of time,
Time shown through each cloud unfurled.
I look at the blinding light of truth,
And think how small I am.
We all come down to nought in the end,
But the blue of the sky never can.
Sailing on an ocean of air,
I sail to my life's bitter end.
The ocean of sky goes on forever,
I'm immortal until I descend.
