    Lady in Waiting

I just want him to tell me,

    Does he like me?

    Or not?

    He teases me,

    Looks at my friends,

And tells me he likes them and me,

But I want him to do more than just like me,

My fantasies come alive at night,

Pictures of him just holding me,

    And then lightly kissing me,

Telling me that he loves me,

And that he’s sorry he has to leave,

    And I understand,

    He says he’ll be back,

    And I’ll wait.

Existential and direct. You've not only written a good poem, Twinopolis; you've written an excellent one. Ten thumbs up and for real!

very good start . You are a young poet and from what I see you are already forming into a passionate one. try playing with words. when I was your age I used to read the thesaurus for fun ... all in all this is a wonderful poem . I hope you get the guy :)

Guilty lol I read half the dictionary in seventh grade foe the heck of it lol

Poetry is finer and more philosophical than history; for poetry expresses the universal, and history only the particular.

Aristotle (384 BC-322 BC) Greek philosopher.
