                          Is it easier to love, or be loved in return

                         Easier to let it go cold, or allow it to burn

                                     To teach, or to learn 

                            To bend away, or strongly stand firm 

                                                 I ask

                             Is it easier to pretend, or to be real

                         To express yourself, or hold in how you feel

                                      To reveal, or conceal

                          To hold your head high, or be weak and kneel

                                                 I ask

                               Is it better to lie, or tell the truth

                To think of the things you'll gain, or the things you may lose

                           Tell  someone the don'ts, rather than do's

                To stay true to yourself, or feel you have something to prove

                                                 I ask

                      Is it easier to show  face, or hide behinds masks

                  Let it grow tall, or to see snakes low you cut your grass

                    To move slow to see all, or miss all from moving fast

                          Let it end early, or strive to make it last
