Dark Night
The night is dark, but the sky's so brightDark from my nightly thoughts, lit by the moon light
Curled in one spot, because the bed is cold
Awaiting the sun light for a new day, which is already old
Time ticks slow, almost not at all
The second hand slides, but the hour hand stalls
Mind draws blank, still pictures occupy
Pictures of the things I block, when I open my eyes
Wanting to sleep, but I must stay awake
It always seems real, even when I know it's fake
Feeling all is wrong, when I know that it's right
For me the night is dark, but still so bright
