    Heavenly Father

                         I woke up in the night, something heavy on my mind
                               So many things, my heart begins to cry 
                                Curled in a ball, pillow soaked in tears 
                                A cold, lonely feeling, something I fear 

                              In that moment, I opened my eyes to see 
                         But saw nothing clearly, everything was blurry to me 
                                  In a cold sweat, my mind in disarray  
                        I then climb from the bed,  to get on my knees to pray 

                              Heavenly father, I need your healing hands 
                            I call on you, because it's you who understands
                                    Touch my heart lord, for I'm in pain 
                                Guide me as  I'm a man, blinded in the rain

                           Take me under your Angels wings, protect my soul
                          Warm me in the time of need, when my heart is cold
                           Give me the strength and wisdom, to know the way
                                      On this path I travel, Everyday

                                Protect me from evil, the darkness of man
                                 Forgive me for my sins, for a sinner I am
                        In the name of your one and only son, who gave his life
                             Grant me the serenity, to know wrong from right

                                Shine your light on me, when times are dark
                                  Hold me together, when I'm falling apart
                           Give me the courage to bypass, the weakness of men
                                         In your name I pray..... Amen
