    Flames

                               The burning flames show my inner soul
                           Curled in a ball I hear the ticks of the clock 
                                My once hidden heart now exposed 
                        Touching the bottom my hands reach for the top 

                          Words silently spoken never to be said out loud
                                  In hopes you can hear from afar 
                              Sun shines on me through misty clouds 
                                    In search of my shining star

                         Can you feel it.. the burning desire I have inside 
                                   Feel my kiss against your cheek 
                                Feel my touch as I extend full stride 
                                      A heart so tenderly sweet 

                              The words "I Love You" are never enough 
                                     Dreams may show you the way
                                     Gracefully calling realities bluff
                                 May the flames of love always remain

    The gentle giant, soft spoken, endowed with a loving heart and the ability to share with the witten word. Loved the metaphors in the poem the last stanza brought it all together for me. Can't say anything except another 10.

    I loved this one! Especially the part, 'my once hidden heart now exposed.' Great line. That is what happens to all of us when we fall in love. Our guarded treasure is now less guarded soon to be unguarded. Love is a beautiful thing and you expressed this wonderfully........E

    really love this poem... but its always good to say how u feel out loud.... in the end it's never a loss because u have that freedom ... a feeling of relief instead of keeping it inside.... sweet poem!
