Home is No Longer There
Home is no Longer There
Going through life alone
You become acutely aware
How can you go home
When home is no longer there
The place where you were born
As a physical place still exist
Yet it’s former dress it has shorn
Leaving only memories that you miss
Memories of loved ones now gone on
To what we hope is a better place
Gone on to a better home
They have finished life’s grueling race
God still surrounds you with those who care
As you make your way
People he placed to help you get there
To life’s final day
So you go through this life alone
On your way somewhere
Wanting desperately to go home
But home is no longer there
