    The Awesome God of More Than Enough

    I was told if I followed the stream
    Success would come to me
    The sweet flowing stream of the American Dream
    I’d have a bright promising reality

    The crystal clear waters of my yesterday
    As time went on it seemed
    Became muddy and distorted along the way
    Making cloudy the American dream

    For the obstacles of some others
    Made it hard to navigate
    From family and foe to friend and lover
    Gave obstructions I didn’t anticipate

    But one remained faithful through it all
    As I followed the twisting stream
    Ready to catch me should I fall
    On my way to my American Dream

    Through my most painful days and nights
    Close by me he would stay
    Giving me wisdom and insight
    Carrying and comforting me all the way

    Giving me a peace beyond understanding
    While taking me through times so rough
    Delivering me from afflictions so demanding
    The Awesome God of More than Enough

    Awesome, as is our God. This is a well metered, well rhymed piece that delivers the truth in a straightfoward yet powerful voice.
