Some Want them Back
Some Want Them Back
Nine years into a millennium new
Who knows what changes we’ll go through
With so many seeming to resent
America has it’s first black president
The is he a true American citizen debate goes on
As they go through his birth records with fine tooth comb
And if all the scrutiny isn’t enough
It seems some are making stuff up
Meanwhile back along the highway of life
Everyday citizens deal with the strife
Of runaway inflation’s high cost
While brilliant Bernie, with billions almost made off
And the thing that most grinds my gears
Is how some has given into imagined fears
While crying in their mind crocodile tears
Perpetrated by media moguls they hold dear
Who through cut and paste distort the facts
Having many cry they want their country back
But despite any real or imagined fear
The Country hasn’t gone anywhere
It still occupies the same original space
It has since creation where it was placed
By the creator with the potential to be
The bright shining example of liberty
And equality God ordained it to be
But since our new Commander in Chief is black
It seems some want their racist precepts back
