What's That About
What’s That About
Mercy, mercy me, all around I see
People caught up in the throes of complacency
And everything they do is not to help you
Making you uncertain of just what to do
Friends and family through their vanity
Driving you to the ledge of insanity
Everybody wants… to get paid
While your visions and dreams are being waylaid
Causing your inner being to scream and holler
As they drag you through coals for the almighty dollar
Going in and out, and round about
The walls of confusion steeped in doubt
Sexy mamas that has more drama
Than a TV show about shock trauma
The dating scene is vindictive and mean
Making it hard to find the best partner for your team
Confrontational is the order of the day
sensational not in any way
As they misuse you, or try their best to
Striving so hard to push an agenda through
But to their discredit, they don’t even sweat it
If you’re looking for love my friend you can forget it
So if you think she wants you , and not your Benjamins
Then my friend you better think again
At the most you’re just a port in a storm
To get her through some financial alarm
As she seeks your money to help her out
yet she don’t want you, what’s that about
