Dear Beloved
Ingraved memories,Traced again and
Again, faded into the
Stone,
Tears fall, rain
Wetting the Earth,
The sky itself seems
Heavy, matching your
Heart
Dear loved one,
How are you doing?
I've tried to pick
Up the pieces you
Left behind,
Did you get in
Nice and easy?
Dear Beloved,
The rain cannot
Mask my bloodshot
Eyes, do you feel
Proud of me now?
I've kept it all together,
Without the glue,
That would be you,
Sewn together,
Pretending nothings
Wrong,
Dear Loved one,
What were you thinking?
Everytime I close my
Eyes, I see your
Form, sprawled out
On a wet carpet,
Goodness sakes,
What was so bad?
Staring at this Headstone,
I realized that
There was nothing I could
Have done to change
The outcome,
I did the best I could,
Now here I am,
Telling them what
Sums up our memories,
Telling them what to
Engrave on your new home,
I wish you would've talked it over.
