Lies
Your hurt again, lies,It's all those lies, your being spoonfed,
I told you, I swear I told you,
Yet here you go again,
"Lie, it's all she'll ever do."
'I told you so' just isn't cutting it
Anymore, All of your fears,
Don't you dare project them unto me
Your cynical feelings won't be
Pushed over on me,
I'm not one of those,
When you see that,
It will no doubt be too late,
My shattered mind,
My cracking heart,
You should know by now,
I care for you,
My friends are more to me
Than the setting sun we've bet
Our lives against, and left behind
So many years before,
Your pain not so obvious,
But your eyes cannot shadow over
The reiterating hurt from years ago
Lie, she'll lie again, and you'll be
Stabbed over and over,
But, don't forget that I am still
Here for you.
