Ghost

Deep in your
Scarred heart,
A soft
Acknowledgement
Is found,
Should you fall
Today,
You’ll get up tomorrow
With dirty knees,
And dirty elbows,
But a singeing will,
Should you be
Deserted now,
I’ll be your friend,
If your scars are
To reopen,
Then moving forward
Will sew them
Back together again,
When you feel that
Your time has come,
Then I shall rewind
Time,
Follow you through
Your darkest days,
Hide away in your
Lighted ways,
Then you feel alone,
I’ll reappear
Just to wipe away
The fears,
You can’t see me,
But know I’m there,
Incorporating my past
Into your present,
Live strong,
For when I’m gone
For good,
You’ll truly be alone,
Loneliness is just
A breath away,
My time here
May not be long,
Until you stop
Believing me,
Trusting me,
Seeing me,
I will forever
Remain as a
Ghost by your side
Hidden in your lighted
