    TRUE LOVE

If I could teach the world about true love
I would give you these words that I have.
The type of love that brings tears of joy
And make you celebrate and laugh.
The type of love that is just the thought
    Can brighten up your day.
The type of love that you want to be around
And always tells you to stay.
The type of love you will call your first
    In everything you do.
The type of love that never hurts
But is there just to comfort you.
Whenever you are down and you feel alone
The love takes you in arms so soft.
You don’t have to by gifts or take this love out
Because you love is already brought.
Who is your first love? Can you remember?
    Because he remembers you.
You may have forgotten that he has done a lot and
There is nothing that he won’t do.
You think of Him when you wake
And can’t wait to hear what he has to say.
Do you want to know Him? Let me give you His number
And you can call him everyday.
His name is Jesus and his number you remember
Because you know Him as your first.
The one that truly loved you and was there when you needed.
For better and for the worse.
He loved you so much He said He would die
Just to make sure you would live.
He doesn’t ask for much; just a simple “thank you”
And whatever thanks you can give.
When was the last time you knew a love like His?
Compared to all the others you have known.
Let’s you see another day and all he asks is for you too pray
No need to even pick up a phone.
His goodness is always true and His love is beyond any ranks.
So the next time you may have time, I have this friend of mine
Named Jesus and you can give Him thanks.
