Dedication
I remember the time we shared
As if forever was our time.
If a smiled was on your face
You made sure the same was on mine.
You wiped away all my tears
And told me, “Be a strong man. Don’t cry.”
You help mold me into the man I am today.
I never could imagine you would die.
I would wonder what was on your mind
As you would sit by the window and stare.
Are you watching the birds, maybe the sky,
Or do you see heaven out there?
My last words to you were words of happiness,
The way you wanted them to be.
A kiss on the cheek and a “I love you”.
I didn’t know that was the last time I would see.
I cried tears of sadness and miss
And the lose ran very deep.
You have taught me to become a real man.
And your memory I will keep.
For my grandmother, I dedicate this poem.
And I wish you were here to see.
I thank you for who I am now.
And I thank you for loving me.
As if forever was our time.
If a smiled was on your face
You made sure the same was on mine.
You wiped away all my tears
And told me, “Be a strong man. Don’t cry.”
You help mold me into the man I am today.
I never could imagine you would die.

And I thank you for loving me.
