My Sweet Jamaica
Our time was short but sweet; and I will cherish it all my days
And though we may never be more then friends;
I wouldn't change a single thing.
The joy we shared if just for a day; was very special to me,
Your laugh, your smile, your playful ways, all meant the world to me.
You wore no disguise you were just yourself from the start,
No pick up lines or beguiling words, and for that you have my heart.
So many times men say all the right things,
thinking it's what a woman wants to hear,
But I prefer a real man not a fraud,
I'd prefer you keep it simple, just be real.
All I ask that you never lie to me;
life is too short for the games people play,
As long as you give me the choice to choose,
for you I will do the same.
