Life Without You
Life Without You
He’s the darkest light I know,
Yet he can’t seem to find his way.
Is he still that lost child from all those years ago,
Or the Man I have grown to care for,
Whose future is yet unknown.
Inexperienced in Love and Life,
He feels torn between two worlds.
And even though things with us are really good,
The not knowing, the untold options,
They make him really unsure.
How is he to choose,
When he’s never traveled either path,
And most of his choices up until now,
Are what created this lifeless gap?
He has to learn to trust,
Not only himself, but others in his life,
So Give ME a chance to Love you
Love you with all that I am,
And I just pray that it’s enough.
I want to be there for every new adventure,
Through the happy and the sad,
I want to laugh and play through all the fun days,
And even be there when things get bad.
I will encourage him, uplift him,
And help guide him through,
Even on days when he doubts himself,
Help figure out just what he needs to do.
I will always be there waiting to give advice,
Or just listen if that is what he needs,
While he navigates this crazy, wonderful life,
And be there to praise him as he succeeds.
No matter his past or the things he’s done,
I will forever and always be his friend.
Because nothing scares me more,
Then the thought of life with out him,
So I swear to love him unconditionally til the very end.
