Indian Son
Seven friends on a hunting tripHigh in the snow covered mountains
It was laden with wealth
Until their third day
When they ran into an Indian girl
She called herself Miramanee
She was carrying a small bundle
Which turned out to be a baby
The girl died shortly after
So the men decide to take it along
Not knowing that they had company
Along the way though there was some
Major discussion as to what to do
Two of them had an uncle nearby
So they brought the babe to his cabin
Only to find him away, checking traps
They then decide to go home
Not without some opposition
The baby was welcomed openly
Except by one who disliked it
Until the day more Indians showed
They had tracked the friends to town
He noticed them from a window
He went out to confront them
He faced their leader bravely
Who was in fact the one who killed the girl
Because the baby's father was a white man
The leader abruptly threw his lance
Killing the man who faced him
Then the Indian girls father killed the leader
By knifing him in the back, for his daughter
All for the sake of a little half breed baby
