Coincidence?
I don't know about the rest of youI've noticed some pretty weird things
In my forty plus years of life's adventure's
Some of you just chalk it all up to
The old standby, coincidence, but
Although yes, there are times for that
Just too many parts have been put
In their places, for life to be unplanned
Lumped into one big bag of coincidence
For instance, was it just coincidence
That I walked into my place of work
Filled out an application and within a week
I had a job and not the one I wanted, coincidence?
Or on my twenty second birthday, my friends
Took me to the county fair, where I met
The most beautiful girl named Carrie
We hit it off very well, though we never
Saw each other again, but you can't tell me
To just chalk it up to coincidence
Life is full of such little nuggets
Way too many to be shrugged off as coicidence
