Burden
How often we seeWhat we want to see
And don't take the time
To check things out
For if we did
We might find out
That we were wrong
And that's not what it's about
Take two men, neighbors
One named Bob, the other Ben
Now everyday, when Ben walked by
Bob felt sorry for him
He saw Ben working hard
In his yard, on some big project
Never offered to help
But watched he did
He saw Ben build a ramp
When it was finished
Ben went to Bob to talk
Bob said, I see that you have been
Hard at work on your ramp
Ben said yes, it's for someone special
Bob said who?
Ben replied, that's why I came over
My son is coming, he said
He's not quite right and in a wheelchair
Bob said he was sorry
Ben replied that he needed some help
He didn't have a car and needed a ride
Bob said fine, anything else I can do?
It must be hard to have such a burden
Ben replied, he's not a burden
He's always been my blessing and joy
