Chinks
High up on a pedestal
Knights in shiny armor
Always seems shocking
To find out that they are human
Little chinks in that armor
They have a quick temper
Or they can be rude at times
Or one was a womanizer
But so can we all
Yet, it seems different somehow
Though I don't know why
Knights are flesh and blood
They've killed and maimed
They've even raped and pillaged
Yet, we see that shiny suit of metal
And suddenly they're special
Braver than brave, suaver than most
Somehow mightier than your neighbor Herb
After all who ever heard of Sir Melvin, The Monk
Or Sir Sylvester, The Slinky
No, SIR GALAHAD and SIR LANCELOT
Are the one's we admire and always will
We just need to remember that they
Were and are just as human as the next guy
