Your Father's Death
I don't know what to do,I really have no clue,
I know your pain is true,
and all of this seems so new,
but through my point of view,
after all you've been through,
I know i just wanna be there for you.
I know it hurts you now,
now that he has died,
but who knows whats next,
and how much that will hurt inside.
No matter how much i have tried,
I couldn't stop your endless tears,
I couldnt be your armor,
to shield away your uncertain fears.
I know everyone cares,
but we don't know what to do,
I've put myself in your shoe's,
but still couldn't imagine what you've been through.
I wanna be the glue,
that holds you together in this time of need,
because your heart is broken,
mine will continue to bleed.
Every good deed,
seems to help you cope will how you feel,
your wounds slowly close,
and helps the process begin to heal.
Now it's easier to deal,
with the emotions you wear on your sleeve,
you put on a thicker layer,
and this is normal when we grieve.
No matter what you believe,
all you need to do is pray,
and that strength alone people say,
will get you through another day.
I sense the end is near,
I no longer see your fear,
I opened up my listening ear,
into your eyes i stare,
I see you care,
now your thoughts seem clear,
your mind is aware,
and I'm glad to wipe away that final tear.
