No Pain

No Pain

You go on thinking,
that i still believe you,
this just makes me think,
i should be leaving you.
I'm just gonna wait and see,
how long your gonna let this linger on,
it will make you think,
of what you did when I'm gone.
I know it was only,
just a little white lie,
but who knows whats next,
and how much it will hurt inside.
I didn't think this is how it had to be,
life's only perfect inside my dreams,
you think everything is alright,
no matter how it really seems.
Only inside my dreams,
i can obtain,
all my pleasures,
and feel no pain.
I once thought,
you should be up with the stars,
now i know i was wrong,
cause all you left was scars.
I once had a feeling,
that you were the one,
i must have been mistaken,
because now we are done.
I know it was only,
just a little white lie,
but who knows whats next,
and how much it will hurt inside.
Now not only inside my dreams,
i can obtain,
all my pleasures,
and feel no pain.

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
