TIME HEALS ALL WOUNDS

They say time heals all wounds

But who are they to know

Do they feel the ache?

Or is this just another mistake?

Time heals all wounds

That is what they want you to believe

Can they feel you retrieve?

Curl up in a corner and weep?

All wounds are healed by time

All aches will soon go away

But why is it they are here to stay

Why can’t I fight away this dismay?

If time heals all that hurts

Why does it still hurt?

Why is it that tears still fall?

Why does my fist still hit the wall?

Give it time; the pain will fade

Sometimes you wish you would’ve stayed

But then you realize that time won’t do

You feel betrayed, you were lied to

You find out, lack of truth, a lie

Then, the sudden goodbye

Now it all makes sense

Things always happen for a reason

The change of season is here

It has arrived; it is in front of you

You move on with your life

Not sure if you can, but at least you can try
