    The Truth

    THE TRUTH

The truth hurts somebody, the lies hurt others
You held the world and you had no bothers
Seeking better, you pushed away the very best
Welcome to your life; you failed the test

The grass is greener, so they say
As it all looked better from far away
You flew, you drove and you conquered
Now you miss it but you are not missed

A pretty face, a fast car, a drink
It all looks greener, or so you think
An old friend dies no lending hand
A new lover leaves and alone you stand

Never ever judge a book by its cover
With a shiny outside, so clean and neat
Inside filthy and rotten, ready to cheat
Book’s open, close your eyes, it’s over

You promised yourself, in God’s name
Failure like this; don’t let it happen again
Then you realize from where you stand
Everything looked greener, it’s all the same

The new face, the shiny car, the drink,
All is forgotten, all seems better already
You keep at it, only to again see green
You forgot it all, slowly and steady

You had it all, no worries, no troubles
You had to seek greener, bigger, thinner
    You wanted, prettier, faster, healthier
Keep dreaming, stand alone, feel better?

Your lies hurt many, but it is the truth that hurt you
Mistakes? No, it’s what you do and what you don’t do
Stuck your chest out, push away the best
Stand along again, you can’t relax, can’t get rest

F*ck you for thinking you deserve better
F*ck the shiny book cover, the greener grass
F*ck the stupid test that you can’t and will never pass
And above all f*ck you for writing this stupid letter

Soooo when you become famous for your writing....don't forget us little people!

The true philosopher and the true poet are one, and a beauty, which is truth, and a truth, which is beauty, is the aim of both.

Ralph Waldo Emerson, American Poet (1803-1882)
