    the yin and the yang

oh, nothing really special at all?,
and to be more realistic even less.
    you and your endless fall
    in that bottomless canyon
with its almost two feet high walls.
oh how real the yin and the yang
to truly feel a little joy,
one must first deal with a bit of pain.
    the chance,once taken
nothing to lose and all to gain.

Hi Tyke - This one is different for you also. I really enjoyed it. My favorite line is "to truly feel a little joy, one must first deal with a bit of pain" How very true!!

Poetry is not a turning loose of emotion, but an escape from emotion.

    T. S. Eliot (1888-1965) American-English poet and playwright.
