parting past
i hide amongst the sadness in the space between my tears, listening to the distance between us.
we've come so far together in our attempts
to get away from each other.
can you not feel the silence i so clearly see surrounding us?
traveling at a deafening pace.
creating a perpetual motionlessness too loud
to not offend the obscured vision lost in its wake.
(and i am so unacquainted with the color this particular noise exhausts).
still, finding it easier to lose is more difficult
than one might imagine.
experiencing the without,without one another.
discovering the unknown becomes a strange familiarization.
and what an unsettling comfort it is
to be all alone in the company of laughter.
chaparoned by none other than my very own......,
oh hello, happiness?! it is so infrequent i find
myself in your presence that i hardly recognized you.
