"The Necklace Saleslady"
“The Necklace Saleslady”
There was much more than life at stake as he wheeled the old Ford down the emergency ramp of his heart
He had the necklace from the jewelry store
he’d ditched his buddies
and changed his destination
he remembered the girl
who sold him the locket
and knew where he had to go
“Her eyes were smiling sweetly
he’d lost his heart completely
as he turned the other way
and headed for the place he had to go“
He knew he had to have her
nothing else really mattered
except the one who took his breathe away
the girl he fell in love with
while paying for a necklace
the day he left his heart in the jewelry store.
