"Hiking The Celestial Trail"
“Hiking The Celestial Trail”
(Question One)
In seasons of eternal timelessness
one may walk upon the stars, or
rest on a nebula
dreaming of a
far distant quark.
To dream the undream of a walk
on the wild side of the universe,
to sail a river of galactic tears
alert in spirit for an alien whisper
or the faintest tapping of a binary
code to indicate
we are not alone.
Adrift in time and space searching
for answers to unanswerable visions
and unhauntable celestial
beauty in its purest form. Gliding
on gossamer wings along the
solar winds, one may peek over the
horizons of forgotten, glimmering stars.
Bright visions, images of some long
forgotten code, a glyph perhaps,
or something dimmer to
unsuspecting seekers.
They so long for the unknown,
so intent on the future,
they sail beyond
the music of the stars.
