    Poem Commentary

    This is meant to honor my little brother Carlyle Newton Hyde who passed in May. He was a very good man and a great person.

    "Newtie"
    satan must have hated you
    he hates anything beautiful
    a man in love with Christ
    unshakable, firm in his knowledge
    is no use to the evil one
    satan must rejoice
    when evil from youth kills a good person
    I miss you my brother
    I know I'll see you again
    forever if we choose
    Yet!  I miss you here
    and rejoice in your victory over evil
    satan must have hated you
    he hates beauty, strength, and devotion
    I miss you, I miss knowing I can't call you
    knowing you won't answer
    I know you're with God
    but I still have this great lump in my throat
