"The Last Kings"
“The Last Kings”
tall mountains sit on angry thrones
above the silent plains,
where inhabitants dead once had fed,
where wildlife once reigned,
east and beyond,
no remnants remain,
of our nuclear games,
across the divide,
to the west far and wide,
no flea, no tree had a chance,
there is no comeback,
from a nuclear attack,
which halted all cultural advance,
tall mountains sit like vacant skyscrapers,
above the murdered seas,
where nothing can flee,
from humanity’s greed and their hunger for immediate gains,
from the place where stupidity reigned,
the rulers at last, are silent.
